A Mortgage For Your House Back in The UK
ImageThe last two years have been a revolution for the UK mortgage market with a reduction in the number of lenders and consequently a big reduction in the number of mortgage products. Couple to this the tougher rules lenders now employ, in part due to the regulators insistence but also their own new found caution, and borrowing money in the UK is now far harder than for many years. For those who bought in the UK some years ago and subsequently moved abroad the options are fewer still if looking for a new or improved deal.

Europe's Single Emergency Number 112
ImageWhile awareness has increased slightly, three out of four EU citizens still do not know they can call 112 in an emergency to contact the police, fire brigade or medical services, either from home or when travelling in the EU. Nicaragua Real Estate: An emerging market still lacking in transparency
ImageWhen I first visited Nicaragua in 2002, purchasing real estate was not on my mind.  My plan was to learn how to surf in San Juan del Sur, climb a volcano on Ometepe Island and visit the colonial town of Granada. But three days after I arrived I was touring real estate and making offers.  The prices were unbelievable, the hype from Costa Rica was spilling over the border, and the beauty of the country mesmerizing.
